Happy New Year

We spent new years eve having pizza and banana splits. The kids thought it was great. For the first year I was actually the one asleep when the ball dropped.

Here's to the new year.

Christmas Eve

The kids just couldn't wait to open their one gift that they get to open on Christmas Eve. They know it's going to be matching pj's. Well this year was a hit. Since the kids love the game angry birds I thought it was only appropriate that they get pj's to go along with their favorite game.

Adventures of Bud the Elf

Our Elf on the Shelf has once again returned to us. He is having fun hiding all over the house. The first day he showed up he was up on top of the entertainment center downstairs, next we have found him on the lights, riding Thomas the Tank Engine piƱata, on the coat rack and today we was hiding very good. The kids could not find him.... He was hiding in the ficus tree beside the piano watching all that was going on. Lucky for the kids they decided to help clean today and did a good job.

The Christmas Tree is up.

It's only 2 weeks until Christmas and I finally got all the decorations up. The kids only wanted to put up a few ornaments this year. So we didn't get out all of them. Simple is a good thing. We also put up another small tree in the living room and it has candy canes all over it. Very cute if I do say so.

Today Taylie's 1st grade class went to see Ice at Opryland. The theme this year was Madagascar. The ice slides were so much fun.

Bud the Elf

Our favorite Elf Bud has shown back up to our house for yet another year. The kids were so excited to see him this morning. I heard them all telling him what they wanted so he would tell Santa. Kaison was even playing UNO with him. Not sure how that game turned out. Kaison is even giving me hugs in front of Bud and telling me that I am a good mom. I think he is trying to score extra points. I love this time of year. It is so much fun.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving in West Virginia with the whole family. It's been a lot of fun with all the kids. They decorated a tree and we worked on making a Thanksgiving video.
