Christmas Eve

The kids just couldn't wait to open their one gift that they get to open on Christmas Eve. They know it's going to be matching pj's. Well this year was a hit. Since the kids love the game angry birds I thought it was only appropriate that they get pj's to go along with their favorite game.

Adventures of Bud the Elf

Our Elf on the Shelf has once again returned to us. He is having fun hiding all over the house. The first day he showed up he was up on top of the entertainment center downstairs, next we have found him on the lights, riding Thomas the Tank Engine piƱata, on the coat rack and today we was hiding very good. The kids could not find him.... He was hiding in the ficus tree beside the piano watching all that was going on. Lucky for the kids they decided to help clean today and did a good job.

The Christmas Tree is up.

It's only 2 weeks until Christmas and I finally got all the decorations up. The kids only wanted to put up a few ornaments this year. So we didn't get out all of them. Simple is a good thing. We also put up another small tree in the living room and it has candy canes all over it. Very cute if I do say so.

Bud the Elf

Our favorite Elf Bud has shown back up to our house for yet another year. The kids were so excited to see him this morning. I heard them all telling him what they wanted so he would tell Santa. Kaison was even playing UNO with him. Not sure how that game turned out. Kaison is even giving me hugs in front of Bud and telling me that I am a good mom. I think he is trying to score extra points. I love this time of year. It is so much fun.

Happy Halloween

Halloween was a lot of fun this year. The kids were an army guy, a crazy cook, a candy corn and a ninja. Isis' friend Shaun Killets from school came and went with us. Brian stayed home and passed out candy and we walked the back half of the subdivision. The kids each came back with buckets over flowing.

Skating

Isis' orthodontist had a summer skating party and he rented out the rink and paid for the kids to have a piece of pizza and a drink. The kids had a blast. It was Kaison's first time on roller skates. He did pretty good. He was also excited when his girlfriend showed up. He looked at me and told me that he was taking her skating and they held hands an off they went around the carpeted area. They are so cute!

It's feather time

While we are in West Virginia switching out kids with Nana and Papaw we picked up our friends daughter who is Isis' age and she is spending the week with us. So this morning I took the girls to get the ever so popular feather in their hair. All 3 girls have the same feather in their hair. They are so cute.

Isis Day 2 after Oral surgery

Well poor Isis puked all day after surgery.  I think her stomach just couldn't handle the liquid pain killer.  I finally called the doctor around 6pm and he called in some Phenergan.  It helped a little.  She slept on the foam kids couch on my bathroom floor all night.  Her choice not mine, and then she woke up around 5 am and has eaten and felt great all day.  She is eating and drinking like normal.   Her jaw is really the only sore place she has.   The tooth fairy is coming tonight I guess because Isis felt so yucky.  She thinks the Tooth Fairy will be bringing her $5.00 because she had 4 permanent teeth removed.

She was a trooper.  She made the comment that she has the worst life and I just laughed.  This was her first experience in a very long time of just throwing up over and over.   We all made it thru and one day she will have a beautiful smile.

Isis teeth removal

Today Isis had to have 4 adult teeth pulled so that she will have room for others to come in. She did really good. The prep took longer than the actual surgery. We are home now and she thinks she can walk and has already fallen. Trying to keep her on the couch may be the biggest challenge until the drugs wear off.

She is just like her daddy who thinks he is superman and can do anything when he takes meds for dental work.

So Long Farewell

We are starting to purge things from the house. One of the items that is leaving today has been with us for around 9 years. It has been well used but the kids just do not use it anymore. So we say goodbye to the Winnie the Pooh childrens recliner.

Big boy

Kaison was so excited to hear that he weighed 42 lbs when he went for his 4 y/o check-up. This mean legally he doesn't have to sit in a 5 point seat he can use a booster and seat belt. The only problem is that he still falls asleep in the van. He is going to have back neck aches.

Private Concerts

We bought the kids nice headphones because the earbuds that come with the kids iPods just do not fit their ears. So now we get our own personal concert by the girls. Sometimes they sing the same song. So cute these girls.

Test from my iPhone

Trying this blogging again!!

I tried this once before but now that I have an iPhone I feel like I will be able to keep up with this a little better.   In this blog you will see blogs from me and hopefully from Brian as he is on the road.   I will also post coupon deals that I see and the savings that I save from couponing.  Maybe you will be inspired to save money.  I am not an extreme couponer but I do like to save.  So come follow along and comment as you so feel the desire too.
